How to enable File Request Feature for your Organization?

Before the File Request feature can be enabled for any specific room, Org Admin must first enable the feature globally.

  1. Navigate to Organization Dashboard.

  2. Select Features from the menu.

  3. Locate the File Request option.

  4. Toggle the switch on the right side to Active.

How to enable File Request Feature for your Room?

Once the File Request feature is enabled for your entire organization, you can easily turn it on for any specific room where you need to collect files.

  1. In the desired room, click Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Features section.

  3. Locate the File Request option.

  4. Toggle the switch on the right side to the On position.

How to generate File Request Link and Email Address?

Once the File Request feature is enabled for your room, you can generate a unique link and email address from any folder to begin collecting files.

  1. Navigate to the specific Folder, Heading, or Line Item where you want the collected files to be stored.

  2. Click the three-dot action menu next to that item.

  3. Select File Request.

  4. Toggle the switch to the On position. The unique Link and Email Address will instantly appear below.

  5. Copy the generated link or email address and share it with the intended recipient to request files.

  6. Once File Request is enabled for a folder, you'll see a green folder icon next to the folder's name, confirming that file collection is active.

How to upload files using File Request Link and Email Address?

Uploading Files via the Request Link

  1. Open the File Request link that was shared with you (it may have been sent via email, chat, or another communication).

  2. Enter your Email Address. This information is crucial for the person requesting the files, as it identifies who submitted the documents.

  3. Select Your Files:

    • Drag and drop the file(s) directly from your computer into the designated area on the web page.

    • Alternatively, click "Choose a File" to open file explorer.

  4. Confirm and Upload: Once you have selected all the files you want to send, click the "Submit" button.

  5. The files will be uploaded directly to the requester's folder. You should see a confirmation message on the screen to confirm that files has been uploaded.

Uploading Files via the Request Email Address

  1. Open your standard email program and create a new message.

  2. In the To: field, paste the dedicated File Request email address that was shared to you.

  3. Attach the file(s) you wish to upload to the email as standard attachments.

  4. Send the email. The system will process the attachments and automatically save them into the requester's designated folder.

  5. You should receive an automatic confirmation email confirming that the files has been uploaded to the folder.
