Public Links allow external users without an account to view and download files and folders. This feature is perfect for seamless collaboration with clients, partners, or stakeholders.
Enable Public Links for Your Organization
Before users can generate public links, the feature must be enabled at the organization level.
Go to your Organization Dashboard.
Navigate to the Features tab.
Locate Public Links and switch the toggle to Active.
Enable Public Links in Your Room
Once enabled for the organization, you can turn the feature on for specific rooms.
Note: Once enabled, a link icon will appear next to shared folders or files in that room, making it easy to see at a glance which folders have Public Links active.
How to Create and Manage Public Links
Once the feature is enabled, you can easily generate links for your folders.
Creating a Public Link
Locate the folder you want to share.
Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the folder row (you can also right click on any item in a data room).
Hover over Copy Link and select Create and Copy Public Link.
💡 Tip: The link is now copied to your clipboard and ready to be shared!
Managing Active Links
To view, track, or modify the links you have generated:
Navigate to the Public Links tab on the left-side menu of your dashboard.
Hover your mouse over the folder in the list.
Select Copy to share the link again, or Remove to instantly revoke access.
Note: Removing a public link will immediately prevent anyone using that link from accessing or downloading the folder contents.
