How to Upload Zipped Files or Folders into ProDeal

In order for files and folders to be properly uploaded to ProDeal rooms, we need to make sure that files and folders are not zipped.

Files or folders from compressed files cannot be uploaded to your rooms directly without unzipping or decompressing them first.

Note: This is typically how it looks like when a folder/file is compressed.

Once the compressed files are unzipped, you can now proceed to uploading them using drag and drop.

How to Unzip a File

For Windows users, it is especially important that you unzip your files before uploading them to your data room.

To unzip or decompress files or folders, right-click the file to selct Extract All.

A pop up will then appear. Make sure that you have chosen the correct folder where the files will be extracted to. If you want to place the unzipped files in a location other than the current folder in which the ZIP folder is stored, do the following:

  • Click Browse... on the right side of the window.

  • Click the name of the folder where you want to store the unzipped folder.

  • Click Select Folder.

Check the box next to "Show extracted files when complete." This makes it so you'll be taken to the unzipped files as soon as they are unzipped.

Then click Extract. You can now work with the files inside the folder.
