Status Transition on Upload

This feature streamlines your workflow by automatically updating the status of your content the moment a file is uploaded. You can customize the scope of this update based on three hierarchy level:

  • Only the file. Only the specific document being uploaded will reflect the new status.

  • The file and its parent folder. Both the document and its immediate containing folder will be updated.

  • The file and all parent folders in its path file. The document and every folder in the hierarchy above it will be updated.

How to Enable Status in Data Room

By default, status tracking is disabled in Data Rooms. To activate and configure it:

  1. Navigate to your Data Room Settings.

  2. Under the Room tab, locate Folder and Document Statuses and click Edit.

  3. Toggle the switch ON to enable status assignments.

  4. Once active, configure the Status Transition on Upload settings:

    1. Select the Target Status. Choose which status (e.g., "In Progress") should be applied automatically.

    2. Select the Scope. Choose which hierarchy level should be updated.

  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

Folder and Document Status in Checklist Room

In Checklist Rooms, Folder and Document Statuses are enabled by default. In addition to the Status Transition on Upload setting, Checklist Rooms include two other configurations:

  • Status On Headings. This enables statuses on Headings.

  • Status Filtering And Room Progress. Consider only line items for status filtering and room progress.
