How to Set Up Your Virtual Data Room

Overview

Establish your Virtual Data Room on ProDeal to efficiently oversee and handle your transactional activities. Streamline the management process and ensure secure and organized data storage for optimal results.

How to set up a virtual data room on ProDeal

  • Click the +Create button found on the global navigation bar. There is a pop-out window to create a room.

  • Enter the Room Name.

  • Choose the room view you want to create. Click Data Room. You will see the preview of the room structure on the right side of the pop-out window.

If you are creating a room from a template, you will select a template from the dropdown under "Create From Template." Templates are optional. While they speed up room creation and help teams keep rooms consistent, you do not need to use a template to create a data room.

Room Structure

Virtual data rooms are meticulously built to feature a methodical indexed folder presentation. Every individual document and folder is allocated a unique identification number, thereby enabling seamless identification and retrieval through the utilization of search functions.

How to Add Folders

To add a new folder, click +Create new folder on the upper right of your screen.

This will prompt you to name your new Folder and give you the option of adding multiple Folders at once.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Copy and paste a list into a single text field to create multiple folder entries.

Hit the Next button to manage access to your new folder.

Click Save to finish.

If you change your mind, you can always rename, delete, reorganize or manage the access of your Folders.

How to Edit Folder Names

Hover your mouse over the folder that you want to edit the name. Then click the pencil icon to rename the folder.

A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to type in a new name for your Folder. Then hit Save to finish.
